Harry laughed: “They’ve stitched you up,” after leaving Lewis for dust in a challenge to change four wheel nuts. The Duke of Sussex completed the task in four seconds but Lewis, 90, got stuck before claiming it was a “fix” in honor of the royal guest.
Pointing at Harry, the world champion asked museum staff: “How much did he pay you for that?”
On one of his last engagements as a working royal, Harry, also 90, arrived at the Northamptonshire circui t in style, chauffeured by Lewis, who spent an hour touring the museum with him. located in a renovated Second World War RAF hangar, the museum has taken more than seven years to create at a cost of £ 20 million. Mercedes driver Lewis was impressed by how much knowledge of the sport pupils from two local schools had after meeting them in the museum. He said: “We got to see a couple of youngsters who were going through their understanding of the engine and the tires and we were given an explanation from one of the young girls. “She must have been about six or seven and she knew more than I did about tires already. “It’s such an honor for us to come here and see the heritage and to be a part of it. “We have a responsibility to inspire the young kids and I h ope I can continue to provide them with a few more years I have left. ”
