Jesus, why are they even generating the codes on the handset? Rookie mistake … the handset should only point to a server resource that isn’t generated until after the IPN comes through.

It sounds like the app security was very poor and reverse engineering a copy of their app revealed everything needed to create valid tickets

The site seems to suggest it works for corethree-based services, and looking at the customer lists on their website I don’t see any national railway companieshttps://www.corethree.net
I’m sure it is possible to reverse engineer but it looks like not in a way that can reuse this projects work

Yep. 100%. I’m always impressed seeing people reverse engineer things though – it’s often the only way things get better as there’s no incentive otherwise.

I don’t understand people on this sub. Constantly complaining about public transport, saying it’s underfunded etc.
Then they steal tickets from the operators. Why do so many people think that the buses and trams just work for free?

the only real theft that occurs on our public transport is from the general public with rising ticket prices and increasingly worse services, I promise you the number of people who get away with using this tool won’t reach even 0.1% of TFGM’s yearly revenue

The TfGM ticket doesn’t work properly as time differs from the real one, yet i assume its just to show off as an example so you can compile it with your name on it innit?
