He was nominated for an Oscar for his appearance in Quentin Tarantino’s 1997 film ‘Jackie Brown’. Most recently he appeared in ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’ which was released on Friday. Robert was born in Rochester, New York, in 1941.

His first film roles were as supporting actors in ‘Reflections in a Golden Eye’ and ‘The Stalking Moon’, released in 1967 and 1968 respectively.

A year later, Robert had a major breakthrough starring in ‘Medium Cool’, which received a positive response from critics.

He went on to star in television series ‘Banyon’ and ‘Nakia’ as well as Disney movie ‘The Black Hole’.

Robert is arguably best known for his role in the 1979 movie ‘Jackie Brown’, for which he was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar.

More recently, he appeared in NBC series ‘Heroes’ and the hit crime drama ‘Breaking Bad’.

He reprised his latter role for ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie ‘which was released on Friday.

Robert has four children, three from his first marriage and one from a previous relationship.

He was married to June Provenzano between 1966 and 1975 then Zivia Forster from 1978 to 1980.

During a 2018 interview with Vulture magazine, Robert credited ‘Jackie Brown’ with resurrecting his career.

He said: “Before that, my career went upwards for about five years and then downwards for about 27 Years.

“After 30 years I ran into Quentin Tarantino in a coffee shop and I said ‘what are you doing?’ and he said ‘I’m writing an adaptation of Rum Punch, why don’t you read it?’

“That was a big, big buoyancy, that gave me loft for the past 20 Years.

“You don’t catch great roles, but you get the best ones you can.

The film currently ha SA 93 percent positive rating on the review site, Rotten Tomatoes.
