As one of the important sub-forums of the 10th China Smart Gas Development Forum in 2024,The theme of this sub-forum is “Improving gas intelligent safety, strengthening data protection, and building a solid security barrier”. This is the first time that the theme of network security has been taken since the 10th China Gas Development Forum was held, highlighting that the country's attention to network security in the gas industry has risen to a new level.This sub-forum invited many industry experts and enterprise technical experts to conduct in-depth exchanges and discussions on industry hot topics such as data security accident drills, data governance, data protection, intelligent safety equipment, and system network security, aiming to explore the value of digital technology and data and drive the safe and high-quality transformation of the gas industry towards digital intelligence.

Guo Qiquan, former deputy director, first-level inspector, and chief engineer of the Cyber Security Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a wonderful speech entitled “Vigorously enhance the comprehensive practical capabilities of cyber security and safeguard the digital security of smart gas.”. In the digital age, the gas industry should simultaneously carry out digital intelligent construction and digital ecological security protection. The biggest threat facing digital construction is cyber attacks. Vigorously improving the comprehensive combat capabilities of cyberspace is an important direction for network security construction. Director Guo focused on sharing a number of measures to build a digital ecological security protection barrier, pointing out that the new risks and challenges brought about by digital construction should be prevented and resolved in accordance with the concept of “theory supports technology, technology supports practice”. Director Guo emphasized that network security construction requires the coordinated implementation of three important national systems: the network security level protection system, the critical information infrastructure security protection system, and the data security protection system. At the same time, the inherent relationship between the three major systems should be accurately grasped, a good network security protection ecology should be established according to the system requirements, and the basic support capabilities of network security should be comprehensively improved.

As digital transformation advances, while the energy industry supports the development of the digital economy, new applications, new platforms, and new architectures related to it are increasing day by day. The industry's business models and technological applications are undergoing changes, and network security is facing new challenges.The forum invited Wang Tongliang, a distinguished expert of CNOOC and former general manager of the Science and Technology Information Department, to attend and deliver a keynote speech on “Enterprise Cybersecurity Practices under the Background of Digital Transformation”Wang Tongliang said that the overall situation of global cybersecurity is grim. As the lifeline of the country, the energy industry has long been the first choice for cyber warfare and has become the top priority of cybersecurity protection.“Pay equal attention to network security as to production safety, and continuously improve the network security management system”Wang Tongliang shared a series of methods and measures for the overall construction of the network security system, pointing out that the only fundamental solution is to continuously improve the company's network security technology level.

Localization is an important strategy for national development.Yang Lu, deputy general manager of Winut, shared with the guests the cutting-edge technological achievements and product applications of Winut’s domestically produced industrial network security products.Yang Lu pointed out that under the complex international and domestic environment, promoting the information and innovation industry and fully realizing independent control and information security is the only way for my country and the only way for the development of the industrial field.In 2023, Winut, together with Hong Kong and China Smart Energy and Shanghai Saifang Technology, jointly developed and launched the world's first industrial firewall product based on RISC-V chips. This is a phased breakthrough in the use of autonomous and controllable products in the field of critical information infrastructure.At present, Winut has independently developed a series of 100% domestically produced industrial control security products, which fully cover the three-level solutions of industrial control security protection. In the future, it will also launch mid-to-high-end domestically produced products suitable for the computing power of the Internet of Things platform in the gas industry, providing security guarantees for the independent control of my country's industrial control systems.

Feng Zhaoheng, Assistant General Manager of Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, shared practical cases of crisis management and attack and defense drills with the guests at the conference.Feng Zhaoheng introduced the overall crisis management framework of “pre-crisis-crisis response-post-crisis” and shared a full-process, all-round, and blind practical exercise case. He pointed out that in recent years, there have been many customer data leakage incidents. Crisis management exercises can effectively verify and ensure the effectiveness of mitigation measures, ensure that when a security incident occurs, it can respond accurately, reduce the losses caused by the incident, and quickly restore the affected systems and services.

Focusing on the practice of intelligent and localized transformation and upgrading of gas enterprises,Zhong Xiaoming, general manager of Shenzhen Gas Group Saiyite Company, shared the ideas and results of Shenzhen Gas's CIS system intelligent transformation and localization upgrade explorationZhong Xiaoming pointed out that carrying out domestic replacement and intelligent transformation, and building a future-oriented smart gas service and marketing management system can improve corporate efficiency in all aspects and is the primary choice for energy companies to achieve overtaking and high-quality development.

Xu Ming, deputy technical director of Beijing Aerospace Topology High-tech Co., Ltd., took the industrial IoT smart gas solution based on Ranhong as an example and shared the idea of building the smart ecosystem of Ranhong.He said that applying the Hongmeng operating system to the industrial field and building an autonomous and controllable industrial control ecosystem has become a current technological development trend. The overall solution of the entire ecosystem based on the open source Hongmeng is an industrial IoT intelligent application solution that is autonomous, controllable, digital, intelligent, and integrated with end-edge and cloud.

During the conference, Winut created a booth with the theme of “China Intelligent Manufacturing·Gas Digital Intelligence Experience Exhibition”.The company focused on exhibiting the world's first RISC-V-based industrial firewall TEG5904 and industry smart solutionsAll electronic components of the firewall are domestically produced and independently controllable, meeting the industrial-grade high-reliability hardware indicators, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the product in the harsh environment of the city gas industrial control system without interruption, and won unanimous praise from the guests.
