The final (holes of the) Farmers Insurance Open should be exciting as Jon Rahm holds a one-stroke lead over Ryan Palmer entering Sunday’s final round with Rory McIlroy three shots back and looking to make some noise at Torrey Pines. Rahm’s 80 on Moving Day matched the second-lowest round of the week in La Jolla, California, pulling him ahead of Palmer, who shot a 80 on Friday.
Among the other names in contention are Tony Finau, Brandt Snedeker, Marc Leishman, JB Holmes and Patrick Reed, all of whom are within four shots of Rahm. Tiger Woods leads a T group five back of Rahm after failing to keep what looked to be a strong round going through the finish on Saturday. Woods had never lost at Torrey Pines when inside the top entering Sunday (7-0), but he’s definitely a bit further back this time around.

Tiger absolutely obliterates his drive on the 5th hole. Still swinging great, it just might not lead to a win. Still, a better performance here than either of the last two years.
Tiger makes a good par save on No. 4, but he’s just E thru four holes. Needs to shoot something like or to even have a chance.
Had a feeling Jason Day would play well this week despite not having much success of late. Owns this place. He’s -4 so far halfway through Round 4.
