The NFL Draft is in the books and despite the pre-draft concerns about our first-ever virtual event, the entire weekend went down smoothly. Of course, the actual action – the draft picks and trades – featured a slew of surprises. The Packers shocked us all when they traded up on Day 1 to take Aaron Rodgers’ heir apparent in Jordan Love. The Eagles then stole their thunder on Day 2 when they selected quarterback Jalen Hurts. Although there were no trades in the first 16 picks overall, a flurry of trades went down on Days 2 and 3.

Listen to the Pick Six Podcast recap the NFL Draft below, and

No. 254 overall: The Seahawks select TE Stephen Sullivan, LSU

Chris Trapasso gives the pick an ‘A -‘ : “Sullivan is a classic late -round flier by Seattle. Former WR turned TE with scary seam-stretching speed and flashes of high-pointing because of leaping ability and enormous catch radius. Still learning the position. “

No. (overall: The Rams select OL Tremayne Anchrum, Clemson)

Chris Trapasso gave the pick a ‘C’ : “Played OT at Clemson but has short arms and has guard-like athleticism. Lacks in the power department too, but really battles through the whistle. “

Brian Cole started at Michigan before ending his college career at Mississippi State. He was a solid tackler for Bulldgos, recording 239 tackles that included 7.5 stops for loss. Like many Day 3 defensive backs, Cole is going to have to cut his teeth on special teams if he is going to make the Vikings’ – – man roster.

No. (overall: The Giants select CB Chris Williamson, Minnesota)

Chris Trapasso gave the pick a ‘B -‘ : “Length and ball skills make him a worthy selection at this point in the draft. Not a fluid athlete but has good body control to attack the football as it’s arriving. “

Stanley’s numbers at Iowa was good sans his completion percentage ( 3). Threw touchdowns against interceptions. Experienced college player who could fight for a roster spot in Minnesota.

No. (overall: The Dolphins select RB / WR Malcolm Perry, Navy)

Chris Trapasso gave the pick a ‘C ‘ : “Perry was an option QB in college but has RB-like vision, cutting skills, and good speed. Not much contact balance but reads blocks well.”

No. (overall: The Buccaneers select RB Raymond Calais, Louisiana-Lafayette)

Chris Trapasso gave the pick a ‘B ‘ : “Small, squatty burner with raw RB qualities but speed to burn defenders down the field. Can be a niche big-play specialist or even a returner in Tampa.”

No. (overall: The Vikings select QB Nate Stanley, Iowa)

Chris Trapasso gave the pick a ‘C’ : “Looks the part. Good arm. Quick release. Plenty of traditional dropbacks on his resume. Accuracy and anticipation lack and he’s a statue in the pocket.”

No. (overall: The Titans select CB Chris Jackson, Marshall)

Chris Trapasso gave the pick a ‘B ‘ : “Three years of major ball production. Good, not great length and needs to add weight to his frame. Instinctive and chippy.”
