Manchester United have struggled with right-wingers in recent years, with the likes of Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay and Alexis Sanchez all toiling when deployed there.
This season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had to make do with rotating between James and Greenwood .
James saw a run of 17 straight starts ended on Boxing Day, with Greenwood instead picked for their showdown with Newcastle.
And it was a decision that paid off, with the – – year-old scoring a stunning goal to take his tally to eight for the campaign.
However, while both players have impressed, theManchester Evening Newssay United still want a right winger.

Jadon Sancho is said to be of interest to the Red Devils.
Solskjaer was eyeing a deal for the Borussia Dortmund star back in the summer, adamant he must be signed.
But United’s failure to finish in the Premier League top four saw the Red Devils go for James instead.
The Wales international has caught the eye but would prefe r to play on the left ring instead.

And Greenwood is a center-forward who has had to adapt to Solskjaer’s wishes to play out wide.
Meanwhil e, the United manager hailed the – year-old after his thunderbolt strike against Newcastle on Boxing Day.
And Solskjaer compared the teenager to Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, saying: “Mason can do every single technique. He can strike it and curl it.
“Cristiano scores just as many with his left foot. Mason can curl with both feet, just an exceptional finisher.
“He’s learning and growing as a human being. He’ll grow more and more and we’re not going to see the best of Mason for a couple for years.
“Marcus [Rashford], who’s now, sprung on the scene the same age and you see more maturity in his game and Mason needs to learn how to head it. ”
United are next in Premier League action against Burnley today (7. (pm).
The Red Devils will be hoping for an improved display from the 2-2 draw with Sean Dyche’s side back in January.
United were dire at times that day and only rescued a point courtesy of late goals from Paul Pogba and Victor Lindelof.
