The first round of the NFL Draft ticked along methodically at first but it eventually brought the sparks that everyone had been expecting. Few could have predicted that the Cowboys would take CeeDee Lamb or that the Packers would trade up for Jordan Love. Will Day 2 of the draft measure up to what went down on Day 1? Higgins did not the have the best pre-draft process but he still possesses a lot of talent. There are some injury concerns but few are better down the field when healthy. Cincinnati now has A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd and Higgins along with Joe Mixon in the backfield to pair with rookie Quarterback Joe Burrow.
Bengals should consider taking WR Laviska Shenault out of Colorado. Really productive player who is coming off an injury, which is part of the reason why he was a first rounder.
I’m excited to see where there top picks go in the second round. Also, when are we getting the run of QBs again? Will Jalen Hurts go in Round 2? Jacob Eason?
Personally, I’m running to the podium to select Minnesota’s Antoine Winfield. That kid, in addition to his NFL bloodline, is the safety you should covet.
Seven teams that did not pick last night – the Patriots, Steelers, Bills, Rams, Colts, Bears and Texans – are scheduled to make their first selections tonight.
Antoine Winfield Jr. should be taken pretty early in the second round. Had a very solid combine and is a favorite among scouts. I think the safety position overall will be a big story in the second round.

Less than a half an hour until the start of the second round. I’m just as excited for tonight’s action. There are going to be some really good players that come out of today. It’s a deep, deep class.
I think they were floating some names to drum up some trade interest. Denzel Mims and Ross Blacklock did not make the most sense for them.
Huge opportunity here if you want to kick off the second round. Still a ton of talent available.
This makes sense to me unless somebody they are intrigued by falls to that spot. Could always happen.
