The iPhone 11 series was announced just two weeks ago, but the rumor mill is already moving on to the next generation. We’ve seenreportsabout the possible display sizes which will range from 5.4 to 6.1 and 6.7-inches alongsidesmaller notchesand 5G support. Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s latest prediction details that next year iPhones will bring a radical design change with a throwback to theiPhone 4chassis.
Kuo details that 2020 iPhones will bring a flat metal frame and 2.5D glass construction. The new design and 5G support are expected to lead to higher demand with an estimated 85 million shipments for 2020. This will also lead to higher production costs which will be reflected in the final price of the handsets.
All three next-gen iPhones are expected to ship with OLED displays while the two more expensive models are alsorumoredto gain new 3D ToF cameras around the back.
