ANT and Dec have called Piers Morgan a “snowflake” for being offended by their joke about him on I’m A Celebrity.

Last night the cheeky Geordie said campmate Kate Garraway was facing a “huge challenge” before adding: “… but before she goes back to work with Piers Morgan, she’s got three weeks in the jungle!”

Today on Good Morning Britain, Piers raged at the pair before making a sarcastic remark about Ant’s return, saying: “It’s so good to have him back. “

Piers saw the dig when he stayed up late to watch I’m A Celeb’s opening episode and admitted he was feeling “on edge” as he appeared on GMB this morning because he’d only had three hours sleep.

He said: “It took Ant and Dec about three seconds (to mention me).”

Not stopping there, the mouthy presenter stormed into a Geordie accent and impersonated Ant’s joke.

In response to The Sun Online’s story about Piers’ on-air moan, the I’m A Celebrity hosts replied: “Snowflake” alongside a laughing face emoji.

Earlier this morning co-host Susanna Reid tried to make Piers feel better about the dig and said: “They couldn’t afford you so they mention you at every opportunity.”

She then addressed Ant and Dec, telling them: “(Piers) very rarely works with Kate Garraway. It’s the rest of us you need to feel sorry for!”

Ant and Dec announced the unlucky pairwould face Bugged Offat the end of thelaunch show.

The scary challenge will see the celebs suspended high above the ground in boxes filled with 50, 000 creepy crawlies and 25 rats.
