Astronaut running along 'Wall of Death' on moon helps stay fit

Humanity is about to return to the moon, and this time it will be stationed for a long time. How do astronauts stay healthy and prevent bone and muscle atrophy in the moon's microgravity environment? Scientists say running along the 'Wall of Death' can help keep you healthy. The Wall of Death is a giant cylinder used by motorcycle stunt performers. Researchers found that if astronauts ran fast enough under the moon's gravity, they could not only stay on the cylinder wall, but also generate enough lateral force to combat skeletal muscle atrophy. This is much easier than building a spinning moon base similar to the spinning wheel in 2001: A Space Odyssey. The study, published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, calculated that lunar astronauts would only need to run faster than 8 miles per hour to stay on the Wall of Death.
