01/ 3Here is why breathing is important

Most of us are so engrossed in daily activities that we hardly find time for ourselves to get involved in any kind of physical training. Now imagine this, while juggling between your personal and professional life, you somehow manage time to workout but you find out that all your effort was worthless, just because you made a simple breathing mistake.

This is the situation with a lot of people. Most people while performing any exercise focus on their form or the number of sets per workout they are doing. The last thing they care about is the way they are breathing while doing these exercises. But it is important to know that when it comes to exercise, the act of inhaling and exhaling plays a great role. Neglecting the way you breathe when exercising can actually sabotage your workout.

02/ 3The right way to do it

should inhale through your nose so that the air enters your belly, just before muscle-lengthening part of the exercise. You should exhale through your mouth during the muscle-shortening part of the exercise.

Like when you are performing pushups, then you should inhale when you bend your elbows to lower your body and exhale as you come up. Do not ever try to hold your breath, doing so can lead to a rise in blood pressure, followed by dizziness, nausea or even a heart attack.

Also, keep breathing in rhythm. Count your breaths in and out and slow your pace if you are not able to catch your breath.

If you want to make the most of your workout, pay attention to how you exhale and inhale.

03/ 3Why breathing is important

When performing any exercise, it is crucial to breathe in a controlled manner. Controlled breathing can help to manage your body movement. It keeps you calm, activates and engages all your muscles to get most of your workout. It might also help you to perform better and do more sets in the long run. Other benefits of practicing mindful breathing are:

– You will feel less breathless while performing any exercise.

– Your muscle will produce less carbon dioxide

-Improves your blood circulation and cardiovascular rate
