Emmy Producers Had To Bleep Peter Dinklage's Record Breaking Acceptance Speech – LADbible, Ladbible.com

The producers of theEmmy Awardswere forced to dust off the old bleep machine forPeter Dinklageas he turned the air blue during his record-breaking acceptance speech.

You see, Dinklage picked up the Best Supporting Actor gong for a fourth time last night, making him the person to have won the award the most times for the same character, Tyrion Lannister in HBO’sGame of Thrones.

Because this is the last time that he ‘ ll be accepting this award for playing the role of the Lannister, he decided to mark the occasion.

He took to the stage and began: ” I have no idea what I’m about to say but here we go. “

Dinklage then continued: “I count myself so fortunate to be a member of a community that is nothing but all about tolerance and diversity. Because no other place could I be standing on a stage like this.

“It’s been about 10 years, all said and done, since the mom ent I met [GoTshowrunners] Dave [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] until right now.

“I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I knew David and Dan were quite brilliant. We did nothing but sweat, we did nothing but laugh. Dave and Dan, we literally walked through fire and ice for you, literally. And I would do it all again in a heartbeat. “

To win the award, Dinklage overcame his co -stars Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) as well asBetter Call Saul‘s Jonathan Banks and Giancarlo Esposito, Chris Sullivan fromThis Is Us, and Michael Kelly from (House of Cards) .

Elsewhere,Game of Thrones (won the Outstanding Drama Series award,Chernobylwon 10 awards, and it was a huge night for (Fleabag) and creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who scooped three awards.

(Fleabag) also became the first British winner of the Best Comedy SeriesAward.
