ENGLAND plowed their way to victory to become the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals at the Rugby World Cup.
Eddie Jones’ side ran in six tries after Argentina had Tomas Lavanini sent off for a shoulder tackle on Owen Farrell’s head.
Here is how the players rated in Tokyo …
(Daly 8)
SHOWED his class and composure as he took his try – juggling the ball, then finishing with blistering power and pace.
Watson 7
LOOKED England’s most lethal player in space. Always a threat and you sense he will explode once he gets that first try under his belt.
Tuilagi 7
LUCKY to not get a yellow card when he cleared out full-back Emiliano Boffelli in the air. Definitely more of a weapon at 13 and not 12, though.
Farrell 6
WORE another shot to the head. Couldn’t hit a barn door with his first-half kicking as he missed four shots at the sticks. Game to forget really.
May 6
IMPORTANT to break his World Cup duck with a try. Had a strong first half, but didn’t really effect the game much further than that.
Ford 9 – Star Man
WORKED the attack like a magician casting his spell on the Argies. Kicking and passing absolute top class and credit that he got a try too.
Youngs 4
KICKING game was awful and even put one out dead. Made up for it with nerve-settling try just before the break.
Marler 5
ALWAYS at the front of the skirmishes looking to rattle and wind up the Pumas. Hobbled off with a knock that England will hope isn’t serious.
George 6
SOLID and reliable more than sensational. Worked hard and line-out darts were decent in tough conditions.
Sinckler 6
GOT stuck in to tackle anything that moved. Pumas scrum was no problem for him and his front-row buddies.
Itoje 7
ARGIES couldn’t touch him and even tried to get to him at the end with yet more pointless handbags from the Pumas.
Kruis 5
LINE-OUT was great, but didn’t offer much more than that on a hot and sticky evening in Tokyo, which isn’t suited for big second-rows.
Curry 8
IS there anything the can’t do? At 21 – year-old has the world at his feet and proving himself as one of the best youngsters in Japan.

Underhill 8
BREAKDOWN beast. Loving his role alongside fellow attack dog Curry, his partner in crime on and off the pitch.
Billy Vunipola 4
STILL miles form his best and continues to be struggling. Rolled awkwardly on his ankle and only lasted the first-half before he was off.
