GOOGLEBOX stars Sophie and Pete have been slammed by viewers after accusing Joe Wicks of “cashing in” on the coronavirus pandemic.

The Fitness expert , 728, has become the UK’s PE teacher during lockdown by posting daily exercise videos for kids.

Any money raised from his videos goes directly to the NHS and their ongoing hard work during this terrible time.

But Sophie and Pete thought that Joe was “cashing in big style.”

As they watched his appearance on the Andrew Marr Show, the host asked about the journey that he had been on.

This caused Sophie to comment: “Just a webcam. YouTube channel.”

Pete added: ” And capitalizing on a pandemic. “

Later on, he said: “He is cashing in big style. If theres a whiff of a pound now he is there.”

They also started mocking Joe for saying he was “globally and internationally” famous.

But viewers were outraged by this and took to Twitter to slam the pair.

Fans were not happy with the pair’s comments one said: “Pete and his nasty comments about Joe Wicks money grabbing. He’s donating the profits to the NHS. Such a twat

There comments come after . Joe revealed this week that his online PE lessons have raised £ , for the NHS as well as keeping the nation fit.

The fitness guru has been hosting daily keep fit sessions as the UK is locked down in their own homes amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

And the influencer confirmed that the extra money he has been making from the YouTube videos is going towards the NHS.

He told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain: “I saw the views and it’s unprecedented.

“YouTube isn’t a massive part of my business, but obviously with the views comes more revenue.

“I saw the number, I was blown away, I said that needs to go somewhere special. The NHS is the right place – it felt right, I’m so proud I’m doing that.”
