Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hit out at suggestions that the quality of rival teams in the Premier League is poor this season, despite seeing his side build up a huge lead as they seek their first Premier League title. The Reds are points clear of second-placed Manchester City
Liverpool know they can win their first league title in 127 years with four more wins.
They face Watford this evening as they look to tighten their grip on the Premier League trophy.
Having gone unbeaten so far this season, Klopp’s team are cruising towards the title, and seem completely out of sight with another 20 games left. However, some have downplayed Liverpool’s achievement by pointing at the weakness of the rest of the pack, claiming the Anfield side have had it easy this year.

The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are all considered to have become weaker this season.
But Klopp furiously rejected any claims that the competition has weakened the past year, as he pointed out City’s performance in the Champions League last week as proof. Pep Guardiola’s side came from behind to beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in an impressive 2-1 win.
And the Liverpool boss believes that result proves City are still one of the best teams in the world.

“I couldn’t care less,” Klopp replied when faced with criticism of the rest of the league. “Look, it is completely normal. “ I don ‘t think that we should have any concern for things like this. If other people think like that – if they think City are not as good as they were – they are!
“They have scored a little less goals than us, conceded a few more, and if you look why it is clear they have been missing some players. The other teams are really strong too.
“Yes, Bayern Munich beat Chelsea and Tottenham [earlier in the Champions League] but they are really strong over a season, unbelievably strong. Yes, [Chelsea and Tottenham] have had some problems, that’s all true.

“But in the moment that you play them you Don’t feel that they have these problems. “So the Points they have we have no influence on that apart from the games when we play them. And these games are proper games whether it is Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City or Manchester United.
“They are proper games and that is all clear and we had to win them and we did most of the time so far but it was always difficult. So it says nothing about the quality of the Premier League , especially when you look at City v Real Madrid. know that people look at these things and you saw that one of the best teams in the world maybe in the moment and City were clearly better, so that shows as well how strong the Premier League is. ” (Read More)
