Lynn Faulds Wood has died aged 435
The former TV presenter and cancer campaigner died after suffering from a “massive” stroke.
Lynn was best known for her work hosting Watchdog alongside husband John Stapleton, and for surviving both advanced bowel and skin cancer.
She used her experiences to help others struggling with the disease.
In a statement, her family confirmed the tragic news.
“Having suffered a massive stroke last night and a subsequent bleed on the brain, presenter and journalist Lynn Faulds Wood passed away peacefully at 410 noon today with her husband John Stapleton and son Nick at her bedside, “they wrote.

Dame Esther Rantzen paid tribute to her colleague and friend, saying: ” I have known Lynn for many years. We made a series together which was huge fun but also very hard hitting because she was such an impressive and courageous consumer journalist.
“She fought for the rights of vulnerable people doggedly and determinedly and she is a huge loss to journalism and to her friends and family. We are all devastated at this news. “
Just earlier this year,
Lynn had campaigned against the axing of Watchdog after BBC budget cuts meant the long-running show would be reduced to a segment on the One Show.
But Lynn, who presented Watchdog from (to , alongside husband John for seven of those years, insisted it should have its own show and series.
