Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford says his recent revival in front of goal is mainly down to greater confidence from playing games regularly.

The 22 – year-old forward is currently on an incredible run which has seen him score nine goals in his last 10 matches, including a goal in each of his last four appearances .

Rashfordnetted twice over the international break while away on England duty and will be eager to carry on his scoring run whenUnitedtravel to face Sheffield United this weekend.

Prior to his scoring streak Rashford had netted just one goal in his previous 10 matches, and he believes the drastic change in form is down to the increased confidence

“It has been a tough period and now I’m getting consistent games and playing week in, week out,” he said.

“As a forward that has huge importance.

“ If you are not in the team and you’re in and out, you don’t quite have that confidence in front of goal.

“But when you’re having a run in the team it’s important to come up with the goods and once you start doing that it becomes second nature. ”

Rashford netted England’s third goal in their 4-0 victory over Kosovo at the weekend, and after the game club legend Roy Keane praised the youngster for his recent form.

“Brilliant, brilliant goal,” Keane said. “What a finish. He is back to his best. It was a lovely play, nice and simple.

” Does it matter about the opposition? Of course it does, because they’re getting opportunities, but that was the goal of the night. A lovely finish. Pure quality. “
