Silicon Valley elites support Trump

Some of Silicon Valley's most prominent venture capitalists will host fundraisers for Donald Trump next month, as the Republican Party is making a breakthrough in a community of tech donors that is largely Democratic-backed. The change marks a cultural shift in Silicon Valley, which has long been considered a liberal bastion, but has been driven by concerns about free speech, tech regulation and taxes. Many in Elon Musk's circle see Trump as a victim and believe the Biden administration is too hostile to Musk and is worried about its own interests being harmed. A pro-Trump VC said that if they can unfairly target Musk, then they can also unfairly target us. This is how the third world works, and it shouldn't be how the United States works. Although he has not explicitly stated his position, Musk is widely seen as supporting Trump. He has publicly criticized what he calls “woke politics,” Biden's immigration policies and his support for transgender people, and many of his positions are consistent with conservatives and Trump.
