Thackeray urges UP govt to allot land for Maharashtra Bhavan in Ayodhya, Sena gives Rs 1cr for Ram Temple – Times of India, The Times of India

MUMBAI: Maharashtra chief minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray while talking to media in Ayodhya reiterated that his party distanced BJP and not Hindutva Thackeray also urged Uttar Pradesh ‘s Yogi government to allot a piece of land for the construction of Maharashtra Bhavan in Ayodhya for those devotees who arrive from Maharashtra for offering obeisance to the revered deity, Rama. Thackeray also announced Rs 1 crore donation from his party for Ram Temple Trust. Thackeray along with wife and editor of Saamna Rashmi and son, minister for tourism Aaditya reached Ayodhya to offer prayer at the Ram Lalla temple. It should be noted that Congress MLA and Minister for animal husbandry in Thackeray government Sunil Kedar also joined CM Thackeray at Ayodhya to offer prayer at Ram Temple. before heading to Ram Temple, Thackeray told the media that this is his third visit in the last 728 months. “I will come again and again here (Ayodhya) to offer prayer,” he said. While replying to a question over Sena parted from BJP and Hindutva, “I distanced the BJP and not Hindutva. BJP does not mean Hindutva, both are different things. We distanced ourselves from the BJP, ”said Thackeray. CM Thackeray announced a Rs 1 crore donation for the trust formed to construct Ram Temple. “The donation will be given by the party (Shiv Sena) and not on behalf of the government,” he clarified.
