Adobe Premiere Pro will introduce AI tools including OPENAI’s Sora to help users generate videos

Adobe announced today that the company plans to add “generative artificial intelligence” related features to Premiere Pro later this year. This new feature will provide Adobe's own Firefly model (Firefly AI) on the one hand, and will also integrate third-party video models.

Third-party video models planned to be integrated include OPENAI's Sora model, Pika Labs and Runway ML, allowing users to quickly generate videos through various AI models and then edit them.

Among the features provided by the Adobe Firefly model include using natural language prompts to add or delete objects in the video, which is a function that originally required manual operation, and can now be automated by AI.

Users can also generate additional semantics through artificial intelligence models, which can appropriately extend the length of video clips. The generated video content will also be tagged using Adobe's content certificate function, so it can be used to determine which videos are generated by AI.

Of course, the highlight is OPENAI's Sora model. OPENAI has previously demonstrated this model, which allows users to create high-resolution, realistic images or videos through natural language.

After adding these functions, Premiere Pro productivity tools can also attract more users to use it, lower the threshold for video creation and editing, and help enterprises and video content creators produce better videos.

In addition, Premiere Pro will introduce an enhanced audio workflow next month. Although this is not achieved through AI, Adobe emphasizes that the new workflow provides more powerful and intuitive tools to control all aspects of sound.
