The footage claiming to show Tyson Fury beat Deontay Wilder by tampering With his gloves is from the heavyweight rivals’ first fight – not their conclusive rematch.
A video surfaced earlier this week which claimed Fury had slid his hand down the glove to enable him to throw hooks with his bare fist.
Fury stopped Wilder in the seventh round having knocked him down in the third and fifth sessions following their controversial draw in 2019.
His team have since denied the accusation – and former world champion George Groves believes it would have done Fury little good Regardless.
“You can’t dispute that the glove isn’t on properly,” he told After The Bell. “They’ve broken it down frame by frame and the glove isn’t on properly.
