Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted he would have been interested in signing free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic if he hadn’t played for bitter rivals Manchester United.
Last month, Ibrahimovic took to social media to announce he would be returning to Europe following his spell in the MLS with LA Galaxy.
The former Sweden international joined United in 2016 before heading to America in March, 2018.

“No, but I’m not even sure he wanted to play here. We’re a pretty intense team, “Klopp laughed.
” With that said, I couldn’t have had more respect for Zlatan. I love his whole career, love his efforts, love his confidence.
“While it may not always be right, it is entertaining anyway. He’s a fantastic character and I really hope he doesn’t stop playing football. The world will miss him too much. “

Ibrahimovic began his career at Malmo before enjoying spells with some of Europe’s top sides including Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan andParis Saint-Germain.
