Boris Johnson rallies support for use of 'military metaphors' – Guardian News, Youtube.com

Footage has emerged on social media of Boris Johnson rallying support for his use of ‘military metaphors’ surrounding the Brexit debate on the first day of Conservative party conference. The PM can be heard saying: ‘Do you think it’s okay for me to call it the‘ surrender act ’? Am I fighting a losing battle to use these military metaphors or should I stick to my guns? ‘ Johnson and his cabinet ministers have repeatedly ignored warnings that their use of language could incite violence, as they deployed the phrase “surrender act” to describe the law blocking a no-deal Brexit
