Lucy-Jo Hudson told all about her birth trauma and the sweet meaning of her son’s name.
The Coronation Street actress, , admitted she felt “out of control” when the birth of her second child had complications.
Her baby Carter’s heart rate and oxygen levels dropped while he kept “getting stuck “, which was” terrifying “for the mum-of-two during labor.
” I felt a bit out of control with how fast it happened and how painful it was, “Lucy-Jo told OK! magazine .
“His heart rate and oxygen levels dropped. He was getting stuck, we couldn’t get him out. A doctor came in and that’s when I knew things had got serious. It was terrifying because you just want your baby to be okay. “
Doctors planned to take the star down for a C-section if the ordeal continued.
However, within minutes, she was fully dilated and was able to give birth naturally.
Elsewhere in the interview, Lucy-Jo opened up on the heart-warming reason behind the choice of her son’s name.
She raises her daughter Sienna-Rae with her ex Alan Halsall and she has her newborn Carter with her love Lewis.
The mum gushed about being able to “connect” her children through the choice of names.
Lucy-Jo chose her son Carter to have the middle name Ray so her children would share a name as well as still hold their own father’s surnames .
She said: “As her full name is Sienna-Rae, he thought if we gave Carter the middle name Ray it would connect them a bit more. It was such a lovely idea – Sienna was beaming when she found out. “
